The People function supports us to create a thriving, diverse workforce. It supports our leaders and kaimahi throughout the employee journey.

From recruiting diverse people with the right mix of skills into the right roles, to getting the best from our people and developing their capability.

Our People function plays a key role in keeping our people safe, making sure we meet our obligations and deliver our people goals, as we support kaimahi through their career at Toitū Te Whenua.

As Head of People, you have a pivotal role in growing an inclusive culture and developing our workforce strategy, recognising that the future of work is here, right now.

You are known for your systems thinking, collaborative approach and come ready to deliver as an enterprise leader.

You will develop and lead a people centric, high performing and engaged team who deliver across the business in a joined-up way.

Reporting to our Kaihautū - Organisational Effectiveness, you will be a creative, senior leader working across our whole organisation, modelling our values and our commitment to te ao Māori.

A demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is of critical importance.

You have a track record as a senior HR leader with a broad, generalist background, as well as practical business acumen and leadership nous.

Energetic, curious and focused on delivery you partner effectively with leaders and kaimahi, and make sure your HR teams do the same.

You are known for your integrity and collaborative approach, building cohesive teams and organisations.
Passionate about the future of work and what emerging technologies might mean for us, you create meaningful change. At the same time, you understand that your team needs to perform their core functions exceptionally well.

Your background may be in the public or private sectors and includes experience leading across a range of HR functions of a similar size to ours.

Thoughtful and willing to challenge the status quo, you embody the idea of positive disruption.
This position can be based from one of our main offices which are in Wellington, Hamilton and Christchurch
