About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful delivery of projects through high quality design using Safety in Design principles and Works Programme processes
  • Support the project governance and resource model, and work closely with colleagues to bring an end to end project perspective
  • Use and assist with improvements and maintenance of the Compatible Unit Estimation tool
  • Developing conceptual detailed design solutions
  • Provide assistance to manager/team leader/project manager/Planner as required.
  • Guide and mentor the Distribution Design team champion Safety in Design

Skills and Experience

  • Electrical Trade qualification or NZCE or equivalent
  • 7+ years' experience in the construction or design of electricity network infrastructure
  • A high level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new packages. Experience in the use of SAP or similar software is preferable
  • Appropriate current registration and an appropriate tertiary level technical qualification is preferable
  • Good communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals
