About the role


This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the building team in order to deliver an efficient consents service to the community.


Reporting to the Building Services Manager your role will be office based, working in the greater team of 15 people.


You'll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council's work.


Duties Include:

  • Entering, Tracking and Issuing of Consents
  • Recovery of fees and Invoicing
  • Preparation of Information Brochures
  • Administration of Swimming pool and Earthquake prone building registers
  • Data entry
  • Coordinate and book building inspections

Skills & experience

  • NCEA level 2 or higher
  • Customer service experience
  • Accuracy with figures
  • Proven organisational ability
  • Microsoft Office products
