The role. What you will do.

We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to play a key role in our commitment to serving and developing our key water treatment clients across New Zealand. As a technical leader, your primary focus will be on water treatment process design projects in both the municipal and industrial sectors.
The role requires strong capabilities in developing and maintaining key client relationships and a broad range of water sector process engineering skills, and the opportunity to further grow our team to meet our industry needs.
Your process engineering skills will be put to use in various stages of water treatment projects, including feasibility, concept, preliminary, and detailed design, ensuring profitable work acquisition and successful project delivery. While working independently, you will also lead teams within a collaborative environment, interacting with staff and clients.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role should have extensive proven experience in the water sector, with Chartered Engineering status preferred. They should also demonstrate proficiency in various water sector process engineering skills and possess the ability to manage and direct process design projects, achieving business objectives of quality, time, and cost.
In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should excel in communication and liaison, displaying professionalism when interacting with staff, clients, and contractors at all levels. Excellent time management skills are essential, allowing the candidate to set priorities, plan effectively, and stay organised.
