Implements and upholds proper Front End and general safety procedures and standards. Maintains courteous member service at all times while monitoring a smooth flow of members through the registers.

Oversees and directs The Costco Auckland Front-end department and other areas of the warehouse.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs Front End personnel.
  • Mentors and provides direct assistance to the Assistant Front End Managers/Supervisors.
  • Monitors employee performance. Provides proactive feedback to promote teamwork and accountability among employees.
  • Participates in the employment process by making recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination.
  • Participates in Front End employee evaluations. Responds to employee concerns using problem solving skills, tact, and discretion in accordance with the Costco Employee Agreement and other applicable regulations.
  • Approves employee clocking reports and other reports.
  • Implements and upholds proper Front End and general safety procedures and standards.
  • Monitors Front End productivity.
  • Addresses Front End budget, training, staffing, and scheduling needs.
  • Writes reviews and adjusts Front End schedules accordingly.
  • Develops and implements plans for permanent/seasonal staffing and marketing promotions.
  • Prepares the Front End for emergency scenarios.
  • Oversees Front End supply requests and equipment/preventive maintenance and repair.
  • Monitors warehouse temperature control points.
  • Investigates and completes member incident reports.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Provides and makes certain prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
  • This is a fulltime management/leadership position (40+ hours per week).
