Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

The Senior Development Manager will manage the assessment and validation of redevelopment opportunities from feasibility through to business case and close out of the build process within the existing Kāinga Ora asset portfolio.

The focus of this role is to manage the conversion of these opportunities into deliverable projects and outcomes that align with Kāinga Ora's Asset Management Strategy (AMS), Auckland Housing Programme (AHP) and Regional Action Plans RAP).

In achieving these objectives this role will be required to develop and sustain relationships with external build partners, who will be contracted to deliver the opportunities, to ensure Kāinga Ora's objectives and outcomes are met.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in property, business, management or finance and/or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in developing projects through to delivery
  • Extensive experience in feasibility and financial project planning
  • Able to demonstrate success and experience in property development
  • Experience in identification and management of risk
  • Experience in management of teams of professional experts
  • Able to influence, collaborate and work effectively with senior leadership, senior managers internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to represent the Organization
