About the role
We have multiple one-year Fixed Term positions for a Senior Developer (Java).


Depending on your skills and experience, you will be working in an agile team on one of the following development projects: NIA Enhancements, Investigation Management Tool (IMT) or the API workstream of the NIA Modernisation project.

You will be responsible for developing enhancements and modifications to the product you are assigned to, and working from a backlog defined by the Product Owner.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • All aspects of software development including writing unit and integration tests
  • Working collaboratively with the other members of the delivery team to ensure delivery of a highquality product that meets the business requirements
  • Support the Technology Development management on continuous improvement initiatives across Technology Development and ICT


The project you are assigned to will be dependent on your specific skills and experience, your particular area of interest and overall team fit.

  • Strong experience using development technologies and techniques including Java, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS in a large enterprise environment
  • Good knowledge and experience in the development of APIs/Microservices
  • Experience in the development of Single Page Applications using React and Redux is desirable but not essential
  • Solid SQL experience
  • Good working knowledge and experience of software version control
