Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Roles
Senior Investment Adviser (Fixed term until June 2024)

In this role you will be a connector between the Māori Agribusiness team and the Sustainable Food and Fibre Fund (SFFF) team.

You will ideal be able to provide insight for the SFFF team on the barriers and opportunities for Māori that would connect them with the SFF Funding programme and you will be able to gain insight into the opportunities for Māori that Māori Agribusiness could support.


You will ideally have the following skills:

Essential for this role:

  • Be a natural connector
  • Understand whenua Māori and the challenges faced by Māori
  • Have grant funding experience
  • A willingness to operate in a team that prioritises tikanga and te reo Māori
  • Government experience

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of tikanga and te reo Māori
  • Medium to advance skills in Microsoft excel and other Microsoft programmes
  • Willingness to provide support to other team members when required
Senior Programmes Adviser (Permanent)
This role is particularly for those who enjoy analysing data and turning it into useful information.

We are looking for a dedicated person to monitor our grant funding and provide analysis about where we are investing, risk and opportunities across all 4 funding programmes.


You will ideally have the following skills:

Essential for this role:

  • At least 2 years in a similar role
  • Medium to advance Microsoft Excel skills or any other data analysis programme
  • The ability to communicate the information to your audience
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Understand whenua Māori and the challenges faced by Māori
  • Being a team player and a willingness to be a mentor to junior staff

Desirable:

  • Understanding of tikanga and te reo maori
  • Understanding of government funding programmes
  • Primary sector experience
  • Government experience
