Working Tuesday to Saturday as the Visitor Host, your primary role is the daily delivery of the Museum's visitor experience and public programmes.

Visitors will include those engaging with the Museum on-site, off-site, and digitally.

In this role, you will represent New Zealand's unique military aviation heritage - including the Air Force's history, culture, and place in the world today.


Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with development of Museum programmes and educational content;
  • Engaging with visitors to ensure they have a safe, enjoyable and informative visit;
  • Working alongside a team of volunteer guides; and
  • Promoting, selling, and booking programmes and activities.

  • Solid administration skills;
  • Capability to juggle various demands during busy times; and

The Visitor Host falls within the Visitor Experience Team, who are responsible for public programmes, exhibitions and other activities to ensure visitors receive consistently high standards in visitor experience, programming, safety, and security.
