Job Description:

A building services mechanical engineer is responsible for the planning, design, monitoring and inspection of HVAC & Hydraulics system. Each field fit in a specialism within the wider building services profession.


Through the use of in depth modelling software's, mechanical HVAC engineers will calculate the heating, cooling, ventilation demands of a particular building.

Thermal and energy modelling tools are also used look to find innovative and sustainable solutions to reduce building energy consumption.

Mechanical engineers are regularly involved in building design coordination, using BIM platforms to collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and many other design and construction professionals.

HVAC systems account for approximately 40% of a buildings energy usage.

This provides mechanical engineers with a unique opportunity to influence the impact the buildings we design have on the environment and climate change.

By incorporating sustainable design approaches to every project we undertake we are able to ensure we limit the impact of the construction projects we're involved with.


Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering with Honours - Mechanical
