Democracy Advisor - permanent, full-time

Who are we looking for?


You will be able to prioritise effectively to meet multiple deadlines, and work collaboratively and adapt with colleagues, elected members and the public to meet our team objectives.

Furthermore, you will be an influential capable individual who works well within a team and demonstrate what excellence looks like in the democracy space while dealing with multiple stakeholders and agendas.

You'll be experienced in preparing and understanding formal protocols for meetings (e.g. Standing Orders), you'll have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and you will be organised and confident as a representative of our team.


As part of our newly formed team that is part of the Chief Executive Office, you'll be be the advisor for a number of our council committees and community boards, as well as working on key governance projects such as implementation of a governance solutions tool and elections.
