Are you a skilled professional with a passion for optimising supply chains and production planning? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where innovation and efficiency are key? We are looking for a talented Location Planning Lead to join our team and drive excellence in automated forecasting, replenishment, and broader supply chain analysis.
The Warehouse Group (TWG) is a New Zealand success story, evolving from a single The Warehouse store to become one of the largest multi-brand retailing groups in New Zealand. As a company, we’re continuing our innovative and progressive journey – with bold new ways of moving forward, empowering teams and with more effective collaboration and communication, we have our customers top of mind and work purposefully together, “Helping Kiwis live better every day”.
Job DescriptionThe Location Planning function sits as part of our Integrated Supply Chain. We’re recruiting for a key role of Location Planning Lead; this role is two-fold with your time split between hands-on work and people management.
Partner, consult and collaborate within the business to drive best practice and improved ways of working. Delivering positive outcomes of our customer missions by delivering maximum productivity of stock by store location, optimise retail space planning and stock allocations through the complexities of geographical factors and supply chain nuances – playing a key part in managing the allocation strategies to meet the demand and supply from our suppliers to DC to our vast store network. Drive the optimisation of stock to location type to deliver enhanced shopper journey and customer experience to maximise our category performance and financial goals.
The people management aspects will see you facilitate capability growth, consistency and allocation of resources within your department. This is where you will draw on your coaching skillset by tuning into the diverse team, empowering them and leading by example. We are looking for someone who has the passion for reviewing and driving our way of working improvements. Focussing on collective productivity and the continued upskilling of our craft.
QualificationsYou’ll have a deep passion for retail (as much as we do, if not more) and understanding of the behind-the-scenes complexities of working within a large retail structure.
With proven ability to understand the business operations and stock parameters, your tuned data and business analysis capabilities will see you confidently work within and build solutions to meet the business needs. Backed with excellent communication and relationship management skills, you’ll work cross functionally to partner and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels.
Equally important is your ability to develop, empower and nurture your team to drive engagement and best practice. Your passion and drive to share knowledge and raise the bar will be infectious. Living and breathing Agile attributes such as servant leadership, collaboration and a growth mindset will come naturally to you.
Our wish list includes:
- Previous people leadership experience
- Proven experience in utilising automated forecasting and replenishment systems to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Broad knowledge and experience in analysing supply chain processes and implementing effective solutions.
- A pragmatic and resilient work style
- Hands-on experience with SAP F&R, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient replenishment.
- Strong background in production planning, with a focus on optimising production space and resources.
- Decisiveness in decision making in the fast-pace, dynamic retail environment
We offer a dynamic, flexible and supportive team environment working with like-minded people within a business that cares about and recognises individuals.
We also offer a range of benefits that work for you, your lifestyle and your career which include flexible working arrangements, team member discounts, wellbeing support, leave benefits and more
