About the role

City Dental Lounge is seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant/Steri Nurse to join our dynamic team in our Auckland CBD clinic. This full-time role will involve providing essential support to our dentists and dental hygienists, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during patient consultations and procedures
  • Set up and clean down surgeries between patients
  • Reprocessing Instruments, sterilising and maintaining dental equipment to the highest standards
  • Ensuring the dental surgery and patient areas are clean, tidy and well-stocked
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to patients throughout their visit
  • Contributing to the overall smooth running and positive atmosphere of the dental practice

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant or Steri Nurse
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and effectively
  • A keen interest in dentistry and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting and understanding of infection control standards.
