Job Description

As our Senior Dental Assistant, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring exceptional patient experiences and efficient clinical operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advanced chairside support across a range of general dental procedures
  • Leading sterilisation and infection control processes to the highest standards
  • Managing clinical stock, supplies, and equipment to keep the practice running seamlessly
  • Mentoring and supporting junior Dental Assistants to help them thrive
  • Confidently using Exact software for scheduling, charting, and patient records
  • Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required

This is a varied and rewarding role where your initiative, leadership, and positive energy will shine.

Qualifications

About You

You'll bring:

  • 2–3 years' experience as a Dental Assistant (senior or leadership experience an advantage)
  • NZDA certification (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A patient-first mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Confidence with dental software and digital systems (Exact preferred)
  • A reliable, proactive, and professional approach
  • A friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude that brings out the best in others
