Sales and Warehouse Coordinator

Our client is a privately owned and operated Dunedin business specializing in building and construction materials, supplying some of the largest commercial building projects in the area.

They are seeking a motivated self-starter who is eager to take ownership of their store. This is a temporary role, however could lead to a permanent role in the future.

Role description

As the Sales & Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing stock control, which includes managing purchases, preparing orders, conducting stocktakes, and maintaining the store's tidiness. You will also serve as the primary contact for customers, handling order processing and sales transactions.

Daily responsibilities include unloading and loading trucks, making a forklift license advantageous for this role. You will work closely with the Sales Manager, coordinating both purchasing and sales activities. The position often requires spending significant time alone in the office, so strong self-motivation is essential.

Most tasks are performed using a computer and email, so competence in these areas is required. While they are a building materials distributor and experience in this field is beneficial, they offer a highly specialized product range. Therefore, a willingness to learn about their products is encouraged.
