Product Developer

We're looking for a creative, design-driven Product Developer to join our Product Team and help shape the future of Plumbline's product ranges.

This role combines concept development, industrial design, supplier collaboration, and practical problem-solving. You'll contribute across the full product lifecycle - from early sketches and 3D models through to sample reviews, refinement, and launch - helping bring new products to life for customers across New Zealand, Australia, and beyond.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing new products and ranges - from concept through to production.
• Translating customer insight, market trends, and design direction into commercially viable solutions.
• Creating sketches, CAD/Rhino models, renders, and prototypes that communicate clear design intent.
• Working closely with suppliers to refine designs, evaluate samples, and finalise specifications.
• Supporting range improvements and enhancements across existing products.
• Providing accurate design documentation and specifications for product setup and launch.
• Creating product training materials and delivering training across the business.
• Contributing to packaging design and ensuring world-class usability and presentation.

About you

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture, or similar (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience designing or developing physical products.
• Strong capability in CAD/Rhino or similar 3D modelling tools.
• A creative mindset with the ability to generate new concepts and explore innovative product ideas.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, and prototyping.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to present ideas clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
