Te Whiwhinga mahi | About the Role

As an Analyst in our Portfolio Performance & Insights team-part of the Portfolio & Programme Office-you'll be joining a collaborative group working at the heart of a dynamic P3M (Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management) environment. Here, you'll help shape the future of transport by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter decisions and support delivery excellence across one of New Zealand's most significant transport portfolios. Your work will directly inform decisions that impact how communities connect and thrive.

What you'll do

  • Confidently wrangle complex data - turning numbers and trends into visuals and stories that shape our portfolio's success
  • Create clear, audience-focused dashboards and reports that make complex information easy to understand
  • Dive deep into portfolio and programme health, uncovering trends and opportunities.
  • Support performance reporting to keep us on track.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience with complex data structures, reporting tools and data analysis (Power BI, Excel).
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a knack for making complexity simple.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and embed best practices.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Reo Māori, and an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the public sector.

Base salary midpoint (100% level) for the position is $101,475 per annum.
