This role reports to the Development Manager and does not include people management responsibilities. Your impact comes from your expertise, leadership in craft, and your ability to influence technical direction.
A Day In Your Role
- Design, implement and test new features in collaboration with your team.
- Develop and maintain scalable systems, services, and APIs.
- Refactor and modernise legacy components to improve performance, stability and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across our products.

- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and improvement.
- Follow modern engineering and agile practices within a collaborative development team.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with industry best practices.
- Support our transition to an AWS-hosted SaaS platform, helping shape our technical future.
Your Skills, Experience And Beyond
- Experience working on or supporting a SaaS product.
- 5+ years as a Full Stack Developer with deep capability in .NET (C#) and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, AWS cloud services, and SOA patterns.
- Ability to design scalable, stable, and cohesive architectures across backend, databases, and web applications.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and delivering well-tested code.
- Knowledge of GIS technologies and scripting languages such as Python (nice to have).
- Practical experience with DevOps tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong agile experience - pair programming, code reviews, and best-practice engineering.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Why join Objective?
- Your work has a purpose- everything we build helps customers deliver outcomes that matter.
- You're supported Flexible work, genuine care, and a focus on wellbeing are central to life here.
- You can grow. We invest in learning, development, and giving people opportunities to stretch their skills.
- You're part of a great team. High trust, collaborative, and a culture built around teamwork and quality.
If you do not tick every box, do not let that stop you. We value potential, learning agility, and diverse perspectives just as much as experience, and we encourage you to apply.
