About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our Invercargill Companion Animal Team on a fixed term contract to cover a period of parental leave.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position and includes participation in the weeknight and weekend on-call roster.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Surgical nursing including, hospital prep/care, anaesthetics and animal handling
- Vet nurse consults and client education
- Collecting and submitting diagnostic samples
- Digital radiography and imaging
- Fluid therapy and IV catheter placement
You will have:
- Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and client-care skills
- Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changing priorities calmly and efficiently
- A friendly personality and enjoy being part of a well-functioning team
- An organised, energetic, and motivated approach
