Vetlife is a large veterinary practice with 29 clinics throughout the South Island, providing our customers with a friendly high quality service.  Vetlife New Brighton is a small and busy clinic, offering a full range of companion animal services.  The team of vets and nurses are frequently involved in a variety of surgeries, and they are looking for a motivated senior nurse with proven experience to join their team who enjoys a fast pace and can operate confidently within a professional environment.

The ideal candidate will have diploma level or above vet nursing qualifications and the hands on experience and ability to deliver high quality nursing care and take on a senior role within the nursing team.

About the role:

  • Veterinary nursing duties - anaesthetics, hospital care, animal handling and clean up duties
  • Vet nurse consults
  • Rostered Saturdays

Skills / Experience / Attributes:

  • Vet nurse qualification and at least 2 years proven experience as a senior vet nurse
  • Organised, energetic and methodical
  • Confidence to communicate effectively with our valued client base
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changing priorities calmly and efficiently
  • Ability to take a senior role in the nursing team and support growth in the team
  • Friendly personality and enjoy being part of a team
