The Company:

We are currently working with a large Canterbury-owned Civil Construction business across Canterbury. They are on the hunt for their next long-term team member

The Gig:

We're on the hunt for a skilled Machine Operator with solid experience in drainage and wastewater tank installation, confident operating 1.5T–12T diggers. WTR endorsements are a must, and a Class 2 License is a bonus—but not essential.

You'll be joining a tight-knit, medium-sized team tackling a variety of civil projects, mainly within drainage crews. While there will be times you're not behind the controls, the role is hands-on and fully involved with the crew.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am–5/5:30pm, with the occasional evening return to the yard for regional work. Weekend work may also be available for those who want to earn extra and keep busy.

You will be successful if:

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a similar role
  • Class 2 License (ideal)
  • WTR endorsements
  • Ability to operate 1.5T-12T diggers
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to pass a drug screen
  • Presentable and professional, representing the company well
