Geospatial Data Specialist

The infrastructure that powers our cities is largely hidden under our feet – water, power, comms. But no one really knows what's underground. The plans are often inaccurate and out of date. When the roads get dug up to maintain that infrastructure, too many things can go wrong. This slows down every project, adding up to a global cost to society of billions every year. Even worse, less information means more accidents, which means people get hurt and, too often, even die.

Reveal is going to solve this problem. We are out to set the benchmark for safe, precise and digitally integrated underground mapping in NZ. To help us on this journey, we're looking for a Geospatial Data Specialist to join us.

You'll join our field-based team, who work to accurately identify and mark the location of underground utilities using a bunch of cool kit and technology. We are looking for someone who can take raw geophysical data and turn it into accurate subsurface intelligence.

The important stuff is:

• You'll need hands-on experience processing GPR and other utility-locating datasets, plus strong GIS skills to translate data into clean, utility-grade mapping outputs.
• You bring a practical mindset, are enthusiastic about learning whatever is needed and are willing to turn your hand to almost anything if necessary - you're definitely not precious about your job description
• You are committed to always putting Health and Safety first
• You enjoy looking for ways to improve things
• You prioritise teamwork, are a great communicator and are comfortable working with all sorts of people – from sub-contractors to software engineers to senior leaders.
• You have an empathetic, positive and honest approach.

The role is ideally Wellington-based, however we are open to hearing from candidates based in other areas of NZ who would like to work remotely (but travel for face-to-face training when needed).
