About the Role

Our Managed Services Team operates enterprise GIS systems on behalf of customers, ensuring its environments are secure, stable, and high-performing. These systems are mission-critical, and we are looking for passionate professionals to help us maintain, evolve, and optimise them.

As a GIS Managed Services Consultant, you will work at the intersection of geospatial technology and IT operations—keeping systems running smoothly while driving continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

Participate in IT service management processes (incident, change, and problem management).

  • Perform regular system maintenance, including patching and configuration updates.

  • Monitor and respond to system telemetry and alerts.

  • Deploy new or extended system components.

  • Manage component lifecycles and upgrades.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiency.

  • Stay current with technology trends and developments.

  • Communicator: Confidently explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Expert: Develop deep knowledge of the ArcGIS platform and complementary cloud technologies.

  • Problem Solver: Proactively craft solutions to improve systems and processes for our customers.

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS technology.

  • Solid understanding of GIS and IT fundamentals (capacity, networking, web services).

  • Knowledge of cloud computing (Microsoft Azure or AWS).

  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Web application development experience (ArcGIS or similar).

  • Programming/scripting (Python, PowerShell).

  • Experience with geodatabases and DBMS (SQL Server, Postgres).

  • ETL tools (e.g., FME) for data automation.

  • Cloud-native component management.

  • Containerization and microservices concepts.

  • Technical consulting and solution design experience.
