About the Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop their accounting career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Maintain the general ledger and assist with journal entries
  • Support GST, FBT, and other statutory returns
  • Help prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assist with end-of-year audit processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
