As a BNB Group Senior Financial Accountant, you will oversee financial activities ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the company's financial stability, planning, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of multiple entities in the group
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management/ board reports
- Compile quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with New Zealand's financial regulations and accounting principles
- Handle audit and compliance reporting
- Manage taxation and statutory requirements
- Oversee bank and covenant reporting
Conduct budgeting and forecasting, including performance analysis.
Technical Accounting:
Recommend and implement updates to manuals and processes to align with business needs and market changes
- Stay abreast of accounting regulations and advise management of the best practices and most efficient options
Efficiency and Improvement:
Identify and share efficiencies and improvement suggestions across all areas, including tax, cash, time, and balance sheet management
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
Group Payroll Management:
Oversee and manage payroll processes for the group
Additional Duties:
Perform any other duties relevant to the position as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years experience in a relevant field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA)
- Proven experience in an audit or BAS account role
- Experience with Xero is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand accounting standards and financial regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Must be eligible to work in NZ
