About the role

This is a full-time Gardener/Weed sprayer position based in Dunedin for 'For The Love Of Trees', a leading provider of landscaping, Weed control, Arboriculture and gardening services. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of various residential and commercial properties in the local area.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out routine gardening tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and planting
  • Identifying and treating weed infestations using appropriate spraying techniques
  • Ensuring the optimal health and appearance of trees, shrubs, and other plants
  • Providing general property, landscape maintenance and upkeep
  • Reporting any issues or concerns to the team manager
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a gardening, landscaping or similar role
  • Proficiency in the safe use of gardening tools and equipment, including weed spraying and small machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • A passion for horticulture and the outdoors
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A valid driver's licence
