This newly created leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape and oversee Fonterra's investment governance, reporting, and analysis functions. As Head of Investment Office & Reporting, you will play a critical role in ensuring investment decisions are made through a robust, strategically aligned framework that supports Fonterra's long-term priorities.
You'll lead the development and execution of investment governance processes, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver value across the full investment lifecycle - from origination to execution and review. Your work will span capital prioritisation, investment pipeline management, and delivering actionable insights that inform strategic capital allocation. This role also champions continuous improvement, fostering a culture of best practice and accountability across investment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a robust, strategically aligned investment governance process that supports Group objectives.
- Ensure appropriate reviews including Independent Peer Reviews and Post Investment Reviews are scheduled and delivered.
- Manage the 10-year investment pipeline and central project register, ensuring visibility, prioritisation, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Operate and maintain capital project systems and reporting tools to support decision-making.
- Deliver action-oriented reporting and insights to the COO and EIC management teams.
- Develop and implement a Capital Allocation Framework to guide strategic investment decisions.
- Drive maturity in capital optimisation across people, processes, and systems.
- Create value and risk-led tension with stakeholders to challenge assumptions and hold teams accountable for performance and value delivery.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

You are a strategic finance professional with deep experience across the full investment lifecycle, from business case development to execution and post-investment review. You bring strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a clear focus on delivering shareholder value through disciplined capital allocation.
You're confident navigating complex environments, influencing senior stakeholders, and resolving conflict constructively. Known for your collaborative leadership style, you build high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will bring:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering with a post graduate qualification
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic decision-making, corporate finance, or capital programme advisory.
- Proven experience delivering value across the investment lifecycle - from origination to execution.
- Strong capability in managing processes that produce well-structured, decision-ready reporting and insights from extensive data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring teams.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
