We provide our small, mid-tier enterprises and multi-nationals clients design, management, cyber security, and support for their information technology infrastructure. We are a cloud first organisation, building our solutions around Microsoft's extensive cloud offering, both M365 and Azure.

We are currently looking to expand our team to drive new business growth across New Zealand.

About the Job

As a Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of our global technology team and supporting our key client infrastructure in our global locations including clients in Australia & New Zealand. This is a busy and varied role, the ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Microsoft Windows technology, Microsoft HA technology, backup solutions, firewalls, switches and storage technology. You will have had to have experience deploying physical infrastructure and virtual environments along with migration projects.

  • Virtualisation Solutions (Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Networking (configuring firewalls/routers/switches)
  • Storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Backup Management – Veeam primarily
  • Automation / Scripting Technologies advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain cloud-hosted and on-prem customer environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Provision and configure cloud and on-prem infrastructure, supporting customer requirements and internal systems.
  • Complete customer cloud migration projects.
  • Participate in pre-sale technical conversations with prospective cloud customers.
  • Architect solutions to complex customer and internal issues in the cloud.
  • Provide technical support for clients and troubleshoot IT issues as they arise.

The following skills are REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years in a system engineer role or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft server environment
  • An understanding of Azure and SharePoint
  • Experience working in a managed services environment
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Experience working with Routers, Switches and Firewalls
  • Broad IT generalist experience across systems and networking
  • Current scripting/automation capability
  • Current New Zealand driver's license, New Zealand PR or Citizenship
