This role assumes responsibility for the on-going success and sustainability of the companies growth; focusing on supporting, developing and growing the franchise network while delivering a sustainable growth plan. You will provide leadership and guidance around process, efficiencies, profitability, with the highest standard of integrity and vision - and a total national focus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Measure and review Franchisees KPI's to ensure all branches are operating successfully and profitably, with a clearly defined service mantra and culture
  • Actively assist Franchisees to increase productivity and operational profit - ensuring good building process
  • Review new products and introduce to Franchisees when appropriate
  • Pursue purchasing arrangements / supply agreements to the benefit of Franchisees
  • Manage the National Marketing fund income and expenditure, and develop joint branding opportunities (in conjunction with Marketing Manager)
  • Ensure Franchisees meet Procedure Standards in Admin, Pricing, Construction, Safety and Legal obligations
  • Manage planning of territories and recruitment of new Franchisees, as well as investigating investor opportunities
  • Maintain regular contact with support partners (Suppliers) and troubleshoot issues with suppliers, including forecasting
  • Prepare meeting dates, agendas and reports for LHNZ board meetings
  • Provide both holistic and hands on leadership and guidance to the overall business, offering strategy and accountability throughout the company
  • Based from the stunning offices in Tauranga, lead and develop the head office support team including finance and marketing

As a candidate, you will:

  • Ideally come from a background in the building industry where you have gained working knowledge of residential construction and/or development, market trends and key suppliers – but first and foremost are your abilities as a businessperson, preference will be given to applicants with experience leading a franchise, licensee or multi branch network.
  • Be mature, credible and authentic - with a proven background in coaching leaders or business owners.
  • You are credible and authentic with strong process and business experience gained from running a business or business unit with full service and P&L responsibility; fully comfortable with reviewing and improving processes.
  • You are financially astute, able to steer the business from the balance sheet and report to the owner on opportunities and performance.
  • Previous exposure to a franchise business will be highly rated.
