He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

As a Barista in the Air New Zealand Domestic Lounge at Christchurch Airport, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the coffee bar. You'll prepare and serve drinks, maintain stock, and contribute to a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for travellers. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role where your coffee artistry and service excellence will shine. This is a Permanent Full Time Position rostered across the 7 days of the week. You MUST be available to work during weekends

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks with precision and flair, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Maintain the coffee bar and espresso machine to high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service aligned with the Air NZ brand.
• Support lounge operations including stock rotation, cleaning, and assisting team members.
• Follow all safety, food handling, and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• Experience in a similar barista or hospitality role.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure with strong time management.
• Great communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude.
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work autonomously or in a team.
• Police and AVSEC clearance required; NZQA Barista and Food Handling certificates preferred.
