Sport Administrator – College Sport Auckland

Full-time, Permanent

Due to an internal promotion, College Sport Auckland is looking for an outstanding administrator to join their small, dedicated team at Sport Central in Mount Eden.

College Sport Auckland's vision is that sport is valued as a vehicle for enhancing the wellbeing of all secondary school students in Auckland. We facilitate consistent quality sport competitions for 115 schools in the greater Auckland area, providing both season and tournament opportunities across 40 sporting codes in partnership with regional sporting organisations.

Sport Administrators primarily work with the Operations Manager and three Relationship Managers to execute the administrative tasks associated with their portfolio of sports. As the first point of contact, Sport Administrators are required to communicate effectively with school sports department staff (coordinators, directors, and administrators), regional sports organisations, delivery partners, and venue controllers.

College Sport Auckland is based at Sport Central, a modern open plan office shared with other regional and national sports organisations.

Office hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, however Sport Administrators are sometimes required to work outside these hours to assist at College Sport Auckland events.

This position includes free car parking and a generous annual leave package.

Essential skills/knowledge:

• strong written and verbal communication skills
• the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• the ability to multitask and utilize time effectively
• an eye for detail
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• experience in an administrative role

Desirable skills/knowledge

• social media and content creation
