What you'll do:

As our Senior Marketing Manager – Retail, you'll lead the strategy and delivery of marketing that grows, engages, and retains Genesis' residential and small business customers. You'll shape how New Zealanders experience our brand – driving connection through data-led, creative, and integrated campaigns that build brand strength, encourage loyalty, and inspire customer action.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

• Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy and plan for residential and small business segments.

• Lead integrated, multi-channel campaigns across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.

• Champion the customer journey – using insights, segmentation, and data to create meaningful, personalized experiences across CRM, digital, and media.

• Shape go-to-market approaches for new product launches, pricing propositions, and partnerships.

• Collaborate across Brand, Product, Data, and Digital to ensure consistent storytelling and impactful customer experiences.

• Partner with media and creative agencies to deliver insight-led creative that connects emotionally with customers.

• Own marketing performance and reporting – using analytics and testing to continuously improve ROI and efficiency.

• Lead with creativity and commercial thinking, helping your team deliver work that balances innovation with measurable business impact.

What you'll bring:

• 8+ years' experience in B2C marketing

• Proven success leading acquisition, retention, and engagement marketing programmes.

• Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and data-driven campaigns.

• Strong influencing, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

• A balance of analytical thinking and creative flair.

• A tertiary qualification in Marketing or a relevant business field.

• Experience in integrated campaign planning and digital-first marketing (preferred).
