The Opportunity
Here Toitū is part of ProCare's holistic approach to supporting the health and wellbeing of whānau across Tāmaki Makaurau. We believe that good work changes lives — and we're looking for someone who shares that belief to join our team as an Employment Broker on a permanent, full-time basis.
As part of the Here Toitū service, you'll work alongside whānau, Kaimanaaki (Health Navigators), general practice teams, and employers to help people on Work Capacity certificates find and sustain meaningful employment. You'll build strong relationships with local employers, connect whānau with opportunities that fit their skills and aspirations, and provide post-placement support to help ensure long-term success.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating equitable opportunities, understands the impact of health and social needs on employment, and thrives on making a real difference.
As the Employment Broker, some of the key aspects of this role will include:
- Walking alongside whānau as they prepare for, enter, and sustain employment
- Building and nurturing employer relationships across Auckland, creating inclusive and supportive job opportunities
- Collaborating closely with MSD Case Managers, Work Brokers, and other agencies to open employment pathways
- Providing post-placement coaching and guidance (up to 3 months) alongside Kaimanaaki
- Championing whānau voice, dignity, and self-determination in all aspects of employment support
We're looking for someone who
- Has experience in employment, health, or social services
- Understands (or is willing to learn about) the Auckland labour market and local employer networks
- Can work effectively with Māori, Pasifika and multicultural whānau, demonstrating cultural safety and respect
- Is a confident communicator and relationship builder with strong organisational skills
- Is resilient, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about helping others succeed
You'll also need
- A clean, full NZ driver's licence
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A commitment to continuous learning and reflective practice
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to equitable employment outcomes
