THE ROLE

We're looking for an articulate
Sales & Design Consultant
to join our growing Auckland team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a beautiful, boutique environment where every detail matters. You'll be the first point of contact for designers and clients, guiding them through product selections, sample curation, and project specification with confidence and creativity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and nurture relationships with architects, designers, and private clients.
  • Present and specify Obery's collections across rugs, lighting, furniture, tiles, and stone.
  • Prepare client proposals, moodboards, and quotations in line with project briefs.
  • Manage showroom appointments, sample requests, and follow-up communication.
  • Support project timelines from enquiry through to order and delivery.
  • Maintain product knowledge and liaise with our international brand partners.
  • Contribute to the studio's visual presentation and assist with events, client visits, and brand activations.

ABOUT YOU

You are personable, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about design. You thrive in an environment that values creativity, discretion, and relationship-building.

You have a natural ability to connect with people and a polished presentation style that aligns with the Obery aesthetic.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 2–5 years' experience in a design, interiors, or premium retail environment.
  • A strong eye for detail and confident understanding of materials, finishes, and spatial design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A calm, client-focused approach and a genuine enthusiasm for exceptional service.
