We're currently looking for a passionate Duty Manager to join our outstanding Front Office Team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position (guarantee of 30 hours per week) with a rotating roster across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Please note this role does not generally involve overnight shifts, however there may be occasions where we do require you to assist with our night audit.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and facilitating guest and team communications throughout the hotel
  • Assist with reservations, particularly afterhours
  • Accurate shift reporting and invoicing
  • Effective management of reception shift operations, such as: guest arrival, departure, invoicing, payment processing, audit and food and beverage service.
  • Ensure we are adhering to our host responsibility policy, on-licence and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act.
  • Lead emergency procedures as required
  • Training new team members as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar front office or guest service leadership role
  • Must hold valid Liquor Controller Qualification and a current Manager's Certificate
  • Strong and confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members in a positive way
  • Excellent communication skills, through both written and verbal channels
  • Must be guest focused with strong understanding of hotel five-star service standards
  • Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to adapt and problem solve
  • High standards of personal presentation
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Full Clean NZ Drivers Licence is preferred and highly valued
