We are seeking motivated people to join our Therapeutic Care and Education Service. One full time role and casual roles currently available. You will have the following attributes;

  • Able to form strong, positive, trusting relationships with tamariki mokopuna aged 5-13 years
  • An ability to deeply engage, motivate and offer consistent kindness
  • Trauma capable skills and understanding*
  • Self-regulation
  • Social and emotional coaching skills, co-regulation and skills in restorative practice*
  • Group programme facilitation skills
  • Observation and report writing skills along with computer skills.
  • Openness to understanding and valuing Te Ao Māori
  • A commitment to biculturalism and the promise of equity laid down by Te Tiriti
  • Consistent attention to safety and wellbeing which underpins all aspects of practice
  • A clean full driver licence

*If you don't have these skills but DO have a heart for children and want to learn - we can provide training.

The position is based in Rotorua. Successful applicants will work rostered shifts between 6 am and 10 pm, Monday to Friday, including school holidays. The position will commence in January 2026, but an earlier start is negotiable.
