This is a full-time opportunity with a long-standing not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people to live independently, participate in their communities, and build meaningful connections.

This full-time role is worked across Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, offering a consistent weekly routine.

In this role, you will walk alongside people as they meet new friends, set and achieve personal goals, develop skills, and strengthen their links within the community.

Our team is inclusive, supportive, and values driven. While experience in support work is an advantage, we are equally open to someone who brings compassion, empathy, and a positive, bubbly approach to life. We are committed to providing training to ensure the people we support receive the very best of our service.

• A current First Aid Certificate, or a willingness to complete one — and we'll support you with the cost

• A FULL New Zealand Driver Licence (essential for supporting people in the community)

• The legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand

• A valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining

Alongside this, you will bring:

• A warm, compassionate approach and genuine care for others

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships

• Patience, reliability, and a calm presence, even when things get busy

• An openness to learning, growing, and working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
