Te Whiwhinga Mahi - Our opportunity
The Manager Housing and Wellbeing Support sets and delivers strategy for how we engage with and support our public housing customers and whānau living in Henderson.

You will be leading and supporting a team to translate our strategic vision and look for new and innovative ways to be responsive to the changing needs of our customers.

You will also lead engagement with key external stakeholders, including service providers, government agencies and community groups to build strong collaborative relationships to enable delivery of effective support to our public housing customers.

Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will Bring

  • You'll have proven experience in leading and coaching high performing teams and managing service delivery operations with an agency, social work services or comparable organisation
  • You will be people centric, have high integrity and the ability to communicate clearly and decisively, creating a culture of accountability whilst looking after people
  • Have sound ethical judgement, the ability to make decisions that are consistent with our strategic direction
  • Have solid experience and understand the importance of Health and Safety, particularly risk mitigation and management to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people
  • You will be motivated by never losing sight of the community you're serving and the challenges they face
  • You'll have advanced networking and engagement skills to develop collaborative relationships with agencies, support service providers and the broader community, with experience collaborating on strategic programmes of work
  • Your cultural awareness will support an aligned approach to our customers' aspirations and preferences, particularly in working with Māori and Pacific Peoples, underpinned by a demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti and the application of its principles in strategic and business planning
  • Financial and analytical skills including experience working with budgets and regular reporting, identifying trends and always looking to improve practice where you have identified gaps or performance improvement opportunities.
