The Role:

We are currently looking fora Production Team Leader to lead a dedicated team of Baking production staff at our Quality Bakers site in East Tamaki, Auckland. As Team Leader you will provide support to the Production Manager in ensuring the shift team are correctly allocated to deliver on performance in KPIs, DIFOT, Waste %, line utilization, and productivity.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Mentor and develop direct reports so that they are able to make decisions in a timely manner as they relate to production

  • Deliver high quality finished product by ensuring compliance to all Food Safety Systems and ensure that action is taken to escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Oversee the hygiene of the plant by ensuring cleaning occurs at correct times and to the correct standard
  • Manage the shift production team via tool box meetings (shift Handover, Daily Direction Setting, TALK meetings) & elevate issues relating to SHE and Quality

Note: This role is Night Shift, Tuesday to Friday (finishing Saturday morning)

To be successful in your application, you will have:

  • Experience in the food manufacturing at a Team Lead or Supervisory level
  • Machine operation and/or engineering management practice
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems
  • A great attitude towards health and safety
  • Ability to drive performance
  • Effective communication skills
  • SAP and SHE systems experience (desirable)
