About us
At Evolve Rehabilitation, we guide and support our clients through their rehabilitation journey, in a safe and structured environment. Through short, medium, or long-term residential support we support our clients to regain independence and re-learn daily activities.
About the role
Reporting to the Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out client's rehabilitation plans. You will empower clients to complete daily tasks, with oversight, direct assistance or prompting as required.
You will report on the client's progress and support them to participate in various activities assisting our clients with personal care and help them to progress along with their rehab journey towards their goals and towards independence after traumatic brain injury or stroke.
You will also be responsible for contributing to the smooth and effective day to day running of the residential facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an extremely rewarding rehab setting with our clients. Comprehensive training provided.
The role is for 72 hours per fortnight and is located at Evolve Rehabilitation in Whangarei.
Skills And Experiences
About you
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will have a polite and friendly manner with a key focus on providing a positive experience for our clients.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
- Ideally hold a NZQA qualification, or studying toward a certificate in Health & Wellbeing
- Good command of the English language both in written and oral communication
- Hold a clean and current full driver's license
- Ability to make independent decisions and work effectively alongside others
- Demonstrate excellent self-management and time management
- Have a "can do" attitude and works well in a team
- The ability to cover rostered and rotating shifts (am, pm, nights - including weekends)
- Preferably hold a current first aid certificate
