Reporting to the Finance Manager the Contract Management Accountant will assist the Finance team with day to day finance team functions, review and documentation of existing systems and processes and support in the implementation of new systems and processes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts payable - including entering of supplier invoices, reconciliation of statements and preparation to creditor payments.
  • Accounts receivable - credit control.
  • Bank reconciliations and day to day processing of payments and receipts.
  • General ledger reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI reports.
  • Preparation of GST returns.
  • Review of systems and processes and preparation of documentation.
  • Supporting the finance manager with the implementation of new software systems and processes.
  • Supporting the finance manager in the identification of opportunities to optimise financial performance, streamline processes and improve reporting.

About you

  • Experience in a financial management role with a proven track record in management accounting;
  • Formal accounting qualification;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Experienced in a manufacturing / FMCG environment (desirable).
  • Advanced Xero user.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and Excel.
  • Advanced skills in using business software and tools eg. Office, Spotlight, Wink, Float, Salesforce
