About The Role
You will be supporting qualified electricians on commercial sites across mainly in Hamilton but also Taupo, assisting with installations, maintenance, and general electrical tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, eager to learn, and looking to grow within the electrical trade. Projects vary in duration and can come up at short notice, offering flexible work opportunities and exposure to a variety of commercial assignments.

Duties

  • Assisting electricians with commercial electrical installations
  • Cable pulling, fitting off, and basic tool operation
  • Setting up work areas and maintaining site cleanliness
  • Supporting general labour tasks on electrical projects
  • Following all onsite safety procedures
  • Adaptable to short-term and long-term projects as required

Skills and Experience

  • Experience assisting with electrical or construction tasks
  • Valid Site Safe (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid working rights in New Zealand
  • Reliable transportation to and from site
  • Reliability, good communication skills, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working across varying project durations and sites
