We are now seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead operations at one of our most prestigious corporate client sites in Auckland. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership, organisational skills, and passion for hospitality at the very highest standard in New Zealand's most prestigious office towers.
About the Role
In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day catering services, ensuring an exceptional experience for our client and their guests. You'll lead a dedicated catering team, oversee service delivery, and work closely with both our client, your Collective Account Manager, our culinary and operations team to exceed expectations.
This is a hands-on role requiring both operational oversight and the ability to step into service when needed. It is ideally suited to someone with strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail and a genuine commitment to excellence.
A current Duty Managers Certficate is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily catering operations across multiple client floors, ensuring flawless delivery of food and service for 80-90 events per month, ranging from simple small meeting catering to cocktail events for 300 guests.
- Lead and mentor the catering team, including training, performance management, and appraisals.
- Ensure all events and catering services meet brand and client standards for quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Control budgets and costs, including labour, food and beverage, stock, and inventory.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a seamless and professional partnership.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality control checks.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Safety, standards.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or venue management, ideally at a senior supervisory or management level in a luxury or premium corporate environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a hands-on approach to service delivery.
- Excellent personal presentation, communication and client relationship skills.
- Current DM certificate and experience serving alcohol
- A strong understanding of health, safety, and food compliance requirements.
- Great barista skills
