We're Atomic Coffee Roasters, a specialty roaster who have been at the forefront of the coffee industry since 1992. We're searching for a Head Chef to join our Atomic Coffee Roasters team. If you're passionate about creating top-notch food and creating unforgettable dining experiences, then this is the role for you

Why join us as our Head Chef?

  • You'll join our tight knit Kingsland café team collaborating with our kitchen team to create fresh food daily for both A la Carte and Cabinet food for our satellite espresso bars.
  • You'll work closely with our Café Manager, Operations Manager and wider team with plenty of opportunity to make this space your own.
  • You'll lead daily ordering, kitchen budgeting, food safety plans, stock management, and keep the café crew updated with your daily specials whilst assisting with training and support to those around you.
  • You'll get to use your creativity and your innovation of variety as you fill the cabinet with delicious sandwiches and treats.

Who are we looking for?

You'll be a passionate foodie eager to put your tasty ideas into action as we work towards enhancing our café offerings. You'll have an equal balance of creativity and commercial acumen as you inspire outcomes for you and the team. You'll enjoy sociable working hours with early starts and early finishes. Your cooking qualification is desirable, however, we're open to speaking to people with one-two years in a chef and or cook position within catering, cafés or a related industry.

In return we offer 5 days of recharge leave, free coffee and opportunities to learn and grow alongside the talented teams in our café network.

This is a full-time position based in our Auckland Kingsland Flagship café.
