Role Description

Creative Arch is seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Designer for a full-time, on-site position in Auckland. The role involves leading architectural projects from concept to completion, including designing, drafting, and coordinating documentation. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to understand project needs, consulting with stakeholders, guiding junior team members, and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards. The Senior Architect will also oversee project timelines and budgets while contributing to Creative Arch's high design and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong architectural design and drafting skills, with proficiency in tools like Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Project management abilities, including experience in scheduling, budgeting, and timeline management.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance standards relevant to New Zealand.
  • Client relation skills, including the ability to gather requirements, present concepts, and manage expectations.
  • Team leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide junior designers and coordinate with consultants.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, and renovation projects is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Licensure or registration as an architect in New Zealand is advantageous.
