What You'll Do

This is an exciting opportunity to join Simplifi as we accelerate our growth in 2026 and make an impact in a rapidly growing market across New Zealand and Australia who are frustrated with legacy and clunky solutions in the market.

As our Sales Development Rep, you'll be playing a crucial role in breaking into new accounts and fostering relationships with multiple contacts within all levels of our target customer segments. You're playing one of the most vital roles in the company which impacts our bottom line.

The day-to-day role includes identifying new potential customers and leads through market research, qualifying these leads by learning about their approach to workforce management, scheduling demos, and collaborating with the broader sales and marketing teams on how we can be better based on your learnings.

Job to be Done

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including email, phone, and social media outreach
  • Identify and qualify prospective clients by understanding their needs and challenges
  • Schedule product demonstrations for qualified prospects with Account Executives
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to improve lead generation strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system (HubSpot)

Minimum qualifications

  • Based in Auckland (our office is in Parnell and comes with parking)
  • Comfortable with cold calling
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and distributed team environment

Ideal Experience

  • You have worked for an HR Tech or Healthcare Tech company
  • Demonstratable achievement to meet monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation
