A little bit about the role:

We are looking for a Finance Manager at our Christchurch Head Office. The position's primary purpose is to lead the Kathmandu Brand accounting at month end, provide business partnering to the Brand leadership team and support for the FP&A team on the rolling forecast and budgeting processes. The role is also responsible for leadership of the Kathmandu finance team including management of the Kathmandu Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Month end close process - Manage month end close processes for all Kathmandu entities and associated reporting.
• Inventory - Management and oversight of Kathmandu inventory accounting by ensuring its accuracy, existence and completeness.
• Rent and Fixed Assets - Management and oversight of the Kathmandu fixed asset and lease accounting.
• Compliance - Management and oversight of Kathmandu's tax and other reporting requirements.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce (Accounting)
• Fully qualified CA or CPA with 5 years working experience
• Top Tier (Big 4) firm experience (preferably external audit)
• Team management experience
• Advanced excel skills
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Understanding of internal control environments and development of internal policies
• Microsoft D365 experience (advantageous)
• Retail and/or listed company experience (advantageous)
