We're seeking a Finance Administrator to join our hard-working team at our office in Hamilton.  This role presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small finance function with a portfolio of clients in the Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch regions.  Reporting to our Accountant, you will often be expected to work autonomously, however, will be provided with adequate guidance and support.

Central to this role is the day to day interaction you will have with both internal and external customers.  The demanding nature of our business requires the ability to not only manage client expectations and prioritise your work accordingly, but also maintain an excellent level of customer service.  Our clients work within a highly regulated environment and attention to detail is critical to this role to ensure our clients are 100% compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial

  • Collection and verification of revenue, managing queries and adjustments to venue revenue.
  • Data entry into the accounting system and payment of creditors and grants.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, board packs, monthly venue reports and Inland Revenue Department returns.
  • Projects and development of accounting procedures as required.
  • Processing payroll for clients.
  • General financial administration including but not limited to general ledger, bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Back up support to other team members.

General

  • Provide support and co-ordination to ensure that all our client's needs and deadlines are met.
  • Work as part of the team to provide the best service to our clients.
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Ordering office supplies

Projects

  • Undertake projects as directed.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
