Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting Teaching Assistant/s to assist the legal academics responsible for LAWS212 on fixed-term, part-time contract. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of LAWS212 course content.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attending one stream of all LAWS 212 lectures and remaining on top of all course material throughout the year.
  • Answering student questions in office hours on a weekly basis.
  • Organising student study groups.
  • Possibly assisting with the marking of a student writing exercise in each of the two trimesters.

This role could also take on the running and/or assist with the running of the MPI tutorials.

  • Have an excellent academic record.
  • Demonstrate sharp analytical skills, knowledge and understanding of tort law, confidence, empathy, and desire to help students get to excel in their legal study.
