Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join Te Kauhanganui Tātai Ture - Faculty of Law on a fixed-term, part-time contract for the 2026 academic year.

In this role, under the guidance of course coordinators and lecturers, you will be responsible for low-level academic support and pastoral care for students, and assessment support to course coordinators and lecturers of the 100-, 200- or 300-level mandatory Law courses.

Key responsibilities:

- Attending lectures.
- Proactively monitoring student engagement, for example tutorial attendance.
- Marking assistance.

- Have an LLB or equivalent.
- Have an excellent academic record.
- Demonstrate sharp analytical skills, knowledge and understanding of undergraduate law principles, confidence, empathy, and desire to help students to excel in their legal study.
